


What is Agrinno2?
The project named “The advancement of entrepreneurship and employment possibilities in the cross-border region through innovation-based agricultural practices” was officially launched on 1st January 2021.
The leading partner on the project is The Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops from Novi Sad, while other partners involved in the project include: The Provincial Secretariat of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry, The European Affairs Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and Non-profit LLC for Csongrád County Development from Szeged, Hungary.
AGRINNO 2 is a follow-up of the successful cooperation established among partners during the implementation of the previous project.
The overall aim of the AGRINNO 2 project is to promote the production and processing of medicinal herbs in order to enhance the productivity and cost-effectiveness of household gardens in rural areas in the cross-border regions by educating their owners to use the resources effectively.
The total project budget is EUR 226.318,27, and it is being co-financed from the European Union funds (IPA) with EUR 192.370,51 eura. The project ends on 30th June 2022.




The aim of the Agrinno2 project:
- To use innovations in agriculture to help the unemployed living in rural areas in the cross-border region to establish or enhance production in their gardens and yards in order to increase productivity and profitability.

Specific aims:
- Empowering the growth and potential of small and medium enterprises through education related to new processing technologies, products and services related to medicinal herbs.

Results:
- Purchased equipment for growing and drying medicinal herbs.
- Established and equipped incubators (one incubator has been established within the scope of this project, while the other two were established within the scope of the previous project, AGRINNO).
- Assessed capacities of target groups.
- Raised awareness among various stakeholders and target groups due to organised events on this topic (a conference, round-table discussions, promotions of the project at the Agricultural Fair, study tours).
